About the author of the text, Lire et Écrire (Belgium)

Lire et Écrire is a Belgian based literacy organization.

Since 1983, we provide free literacy trainings and research on illiteracy and literacy processes.

Since several years, our research and action focuses on digital related issues to raise awareness about digital inequalities and risks of non-take up of rights amongst low literate people and trigger critical knowledge and uses around digital technologies.

We publish a quarterly magazine on literacy issues: le Journal de l’alpha.
